About Liang Xiaomei

career. She won a gold medal in the 87 kg women’s category at the 2022 Asian Games.

She is the first and only athlete to beat the weights set by the IWF to establish her own record. What’s more surprising is that she made her first debut on the IWF platform in 2016, where she competed in the Junior World Championship.

After 2016, she went on a seven-year hiatus. She returned in 2022 to compete at the 2022 World Championship, where she won her first medal. Since then, she has been putting up a commanding performance. Perhaps due to long years of intensive training.

As the Paris Olympics emerges, she will look to add more medals to her collections and perhaps break more records. However, her outstanding performance in this competition will aid her ambitions to go to Paris.
