The competition day didn’t show us something unexpected and unusual: Won Hyon Sim won gold medals in Snatch of 87 kg, Clean & Jerk of 109 kg, and 196 kg in total.

The second place moved to a lifter from Thailand, Siriwimon Pramongkhol who performed a total of 176 kg, 75 kg in Snatch, and 101 kg in the Clean & Jerk discipline. Today she showed average results without significant improvement compared to her prior lifts.

By the way, previously she won gold in the Clean & Jerk session of 101 kg lift at the World Championships in Riyadh. So, today she just repeated her lift. Also, she won silver at the 2022 World Championships in Bogota; and gold at the 2023 World Championships in Riyadh.

The bronze medalist was the Vietnamese lifter My Phuong Khong: she lifted 76 kg in Snatch, 84 kg in Clean & Jerk, and got a total of 160 kg. Unfortunately, she didn’t manage to improve her personal bests in Snatch of 78 kg and Clean & Jerk of 93 kg. The 2019 year was successful for her: she secured her place as Junior World Champion, with gold medals in Snatch and total, and silver for Clean & Jerk.
