About the US Team’s Perspectives
The US team will participate in the upcoming European Weightlifting Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The upcoming Championship can also influence the Americans’ rating in the leaderboard. Such lifters like Hampton Morris (61-kg weight class), Olivia Reeves (71-kg weight class), and Mary Theisen-Lappen (+87-kg weight class) have all the chances to stand out in this competition.
Since the country won’t compete in the Pan American Championships in Venezuela because of the political situation, the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) allowed them to participate in this qualifying event in Europe.
We can admit that the European Champs are going to be an interesting battle in every weight class, especially in the Olympic weights, which will be even more interesting.
