Sharofiddin Amriddinov won Silver in the Men’s 109 kg Event at the 2024 IWF Asian Championships
The last day of the 2024 IWF Asian Championships was just as good as the previous ones, and the men’s 109 kg event was a real battle till the end for the top podium spots.
Unfortunately for Sharofiddin Amriddinov, he missed out on the gold medal by just one kilogram and instead finished in second place.
The representative of the host country, Uzbekistan, started strongly by lifting 176 kg on the snatch lift, which earned him the gold medal for it.
However, for the Clean & Jerk, he couldn’t get past the 205 kg threshold, which unfortunately ended up giving him the silver medal for the lift and second place in the overall ranking for the event.
With that said, things are looking bright for the 21-year-old Uzbekistani lifter as he still has a lot of time to prove himself on the world stage and win significant accolades – after all, this is just the start of his career as a senior.
