2024 IWF Asian Championships: Ezzeddin Abdo Al won Bronze in the 109 kg Men’s Event
The 2024 IWF Asian Championships have come to an end, and one of the last events that we were able to see unfold was the men’s 109 kg.
Thankfully, as the closing one for the competition, it didn’t disappoint as we saw many surprising results and a real battle for a spot on the podium.
For the bronze medal, the athlete who managed to get past all but two competitors was Ezzeddin Abdo Al from the United Arab Emirates. He managed to make up for his slow start – only lifting 167 kg on the snatch by improving on his Clean & Jerk and lifting the impressive 201 kg for a total of 368 kg.
Even though that was 13 kg less than the athletes standing in the two top spots, it was still enough for the bronze medal.
