Women’s 64 kg Division Recap – IWF European Weightlifting Championships 2024
Day 4 of the European Weightlifting Championships in Sofia displayed impressive lifting session in the Women’s 64-kg weight category, where 12 female athletes were performing in the Group A.
The battle in the division was attention-grabbing as the contenders of the Top 6 were competing equally trying to surpass their rivals with at least minimal weight gap.

Two Ukrainians Reign the Category in the Equal Fight, Defeating the Polish Lifter
Let’s see the TOP 3 weightlifters who gained the highest awards due to their exemplary lifts:
🥇DAVYDOVA Hanna (UKR) – 100-120-220
🥈SAMULIAK Svitlana (UKR) – 101-118-219
🥉WOLK Wiktoria (POL) – 94-121-215
The winner in today’s weight class was Davydova Hanna from Ukraine who lifted 100 kg in Snatch at the third attempt, 120 kg in Clean & Jerk, and a total of 220 kg.
The second place was occupied by her teammate Samuliak Svitlana who fell behind just by one kilo in total, 219 kg, she lifted 101 kg in Snatch, and 118 kg in Clean & Jerk.
The bronze medalist was Wolk Wiktoria from Poland: she lifted 94 kg in Snatch, 121 kg in Clean & Jerk, and got 215 kg in the sum of two exercises.
Top Athletes’ Review
The Women’s 64-kg weight category winner Davydova Hanna, she ranked sixth at the World Championships in Riyadh, being seventh at the European Championships in Yerevan. Compared to her prior results, today she surpassed herself and managed to win the gold medal in total.
Speaking about the silver medalist, Svitlana Samuliak from Ukraine, won the bronze medal at the 2021 World Championships in the 55-kg weight class in Tashkent. Also, she became a silver medalist in the 55-kg weight category at the 2023 European Championships in Yerevan with a total of 199 kg.
The bronze holder, Wiktoria Wolk from Poland, took the bronze medal at the European U23 Snatch Championships. At the World Championships in Riyadh, she ranked 11th, performing in the Group B with the result of 92-110-202.

Considering the Snatch exercise, we can confirm that the performance was quite good, just several athletes had double no-lifts, no athlete bombed out, while three of them did all lifts successful.
