The treadmill comes with a free 30-day iFit trial, which gives you access to thousands of trainer-led workouts, which is a very convenient way to keep your workouts diverse and effective. 2. PROFORM Pro 2000

PROFORM Pro 2000
  • Dimensions: 35.3’’W x 77.3’’D x 59.6’’H
  • Display size: 10’’
  • App: iFit
  • Product weight: 262 lbs

For those that want to save a little bit of money and get something almost as good as the top pic, ProForm’s Pro 2000 treadmill with smart TV is a good option. It’s light, easy to move, and comes packed with some really nice features.

Another treadmill that incorporates iFit, the Pro 2000 also comes with a 30-day free trial, after which you need to pay for a subscription. Subscriptions can be a pain, especially if you’re already paying for a few different ones, but iFit is great value for money because you can work out with professional trainers in the comfort of your own home.

This treadmill has a spacious 20’’x60’’ deck equipped with ReBound Pro cushioning to make the surface comfortable and supportive, which comes especially handy for long workouts, and the integrated CoolAire fan provides customizable airflow. If, however, you decide to blast it at full speed, it will become pretty noisy, and you’ll have a hard time hearing anything else.

The screen is good quality, but it’s on the smaller side; at 10’’, you’ll be able to see everything fine, but it would be more comfortable if it was bigger.

The EasyLift Assist allows you to fold the treadmill up and store it within a few moments and even though it weighs 260 lbs, you’ll have no problem moving it. The 3.25 CHP Mach Z motor gives a smooth performance and it’s completely reliable. The speed goes from 0 to 12 mph, and the QuickSpeed Button Control lets you easily adjust both the speed and incline, which goes from a 33% decline to a 12% incline.

Overall, this treadmill is an excellent choice that doesn’t fall too far behind the top pick.

3. NORDICTRACK Commercial 2450

NORDICTRACK Commercial 2450
  • Dimensions: 78.5’’L x 35.6’’W x 65’’H
  • Display size: 22’’
  • App: iFit
  • Product weight: 303 lbs
  • Weight capacity: 300 lbs
  • Running deck size: 20’’x60’’
  • Speed range: 0-12 mph
  • Incline/decline options: 12% incline to -3% decline
  • Additional features: Premium audio speakers, ActivePulse and AutoAdjust technology, integrated fan and tray
  • Warranty: 10-year frame, 2-year parts, 1-year labor

The screen on this treadmill is next level: at 22’’, the Commercial 2450 shows everything comfortably and gives a super immersive workout experience. Accompanied by the AutoAdjust technology, the display dynamically modifies speed and incline during workouts.

The Commercial 2450 can replicate real-life terrains through a -3% decline to 12% incline, adding a realistic touch to your training sessions. Complemented by Google Maps workout technology, it allows you to virtually experience all kinds of global locations. The technology is truly cutting-edge, and it won’t leave you disappointed.

The belt is nice and spacious: at 20’’x60’’ of space with ActivePulse technology, not only will you have more than enough space for running, but the treadmill will also automatically adjust the speed and incline to keep you in the optimal heart-rate zone.

EasyLift Assist allows you to fold it up and store it relatively quickly, and the sturdy 3.6 CHP motor, OneTouch Controls and 300 lbs weight capacity underline its reliability and versatility.

There’s no question about this treadmill with built in TV being remarkable, but the price is somewhat of a head-scratcher. This is an investment, to say the least, and the price will definitely make some people opt for another cheaper treadmill. However, keep in mind that if you decide to go for this one, you’ll get a high-quality treadmill packed with premium features that will last you for many years.

4. NORDICTRACK EXP 7i

NORDICTRACK EXP 7i
  • Dimensions: 70.8’’L x 34.9’’W x 59.7’’H
  • Display size: 7’’
  • App: iFit
  • Product weight: 228 lbs
  • Weight capacity: 300 lbs
  • Running deck size: 20’’x55’’
  • Speed range: 0-10 mph
  • Incline/decline options: 0 to 12%
  • Additional features: Premium audio speakers, integrated tray, Runner’s Flex cushioning
  • Warranty: 10-year frame, 2-year parts, 1-year labor

The EXP 7i is more affordable than some of the other treadmills NordicTrack makes, but you still get a decently powerful motor, some premium features, and of course, iFit compatibility.

The 7’’ touchscreen is where the reality kind of hits you and, even though this is a treadmill from NordicTrack, it does feel like a budget version of some of their premium treadmills. The display is functional and shows the information you need, but it’s pretty small and limiting. If you have bad eyesight, this could really be an issue because you’ll find yourself having to squint here and there to be able to see everything.

Apart from the screen being smaller, the running deck is also downsized, although it’s nothing too drastic, and at 20’’x55’’, you’ll still have a good amount of running space. The 2.6 CHP Plus motor can accommodate speeds up to 10 mph and the user-friendly OneTouch control system makes adjustments a piece of cake.

Speaking of adjustments, the incline goes from 0 to 12%, but it makes a noise as you use it, which may not be ideal if you don’t live by yourself and like to work out at odd times of the day or night.  Even though this is a budget touch screen treadmill, it’s built really well and it doesn’t seem flimsy or cheap.

NORDICTRACK Commercial X22i

  • Product weight: 417 lbs
  • Weight capacity: 300 lbs
  • Running deck size: 22’’x60’’

  • Incline/decline options: 40% incline to -6% decline
  • Additional features: AutoAdjust, Android 9 OS, dual fans
  • Warranty: 10-year frame, 2-year parts, 1-year labor

Premium in every way, NordicTrack’s X22i treadmill with TV and WiFi stands out from the crowd thanks to… everything. The motor, the incline options, the features — everything about it is high-end, including the hefty price tag.

The 4.0 CHP DurX Commercial Plus motor is impressive and reliable even at the highest speeds and performs smoothly, while the 22’’x60’’ commercial tread belt gives you a lot of space for walking, jogging, or running. The OneTouch controls and the Smart-Response Drive System make the treadmill user-friendly and simple to adjust, so you can focus on your workouts without distractions.

The 22’’ screen is one of the best screens you’ll see on a treadmill. It’s big, excellent quality, and seamlessly integrates with headphones.

The X22i has not one, but two integrated fans to keep you cool, and the 40% incline to -6% decline gives an impressive range of challenging terrains to work on. There are 47 levels of adjustability, so you don’t ever have to worry about your training sessions being boring or repetitive.

This treadmill with a monitor is impressive for sure, but it’s also quite an investment. Another issue is its weight, so it would be best if you had a designated space for it without needing to move it too much.

  • Incline/decline options: 0-12%
  • Additional features: ProShox cushioning, folding design
  • Warranty: 10-year frame, 1-year parts, 1-year labor

The TLX is a blend of affordable price, technology, and comfort. Apart from iFit integration, you get access to a good range of workout and entertainment through a 7’’ high-contrast display that, although it’s rather small, shows all the information you need.

The 3.0 CHP motor is great to see on an affordable treadmill, and the 20’’x60’’ tread belt gives you the same amount of space some premium treadmills do. The 0-12 mph speed range can make your training sessions super intense and it’s suitable for people of all fitness levels. The Carbon TLX is durable and well-made, although it would be great to see a better parts warranty, as 1 year feels a bit cheap on ProForm’s side.

The ProShox cushioning is complemented by the CoolAire fan and dual speakers. The cushioning on this treadmill is really nice and supportive, and it makes long running sessions a lot easier on your joints.

Even though the screen isn’t really suitable for entertainment, the treadmill’s compatibility with Bluetooth headphones means you can enjoy your favorite music while you’re working out. The control panel is straightforward, and the easy-to-press buttons make speed and incline adjustments very simple.

This is a no-nonsense treadmill you can watch TV on – there’s no fancy bells and whistles, but it has a powerful motor, functional screen, ample running surface, and good price.

  • Display size: 10’’
  • App: JRNY
  • Product weight: 323 lbs
  • Weight capacity: 350 lbs
  • Running deck size: 22’’x60’’

The only treadmill on the list that’s not compatible with iFit, Bowflex’s T10 introduces the JRNY app that has a range of adaptive workouts, motivating trainers, and streaming entertainment during a free 2-month trial.

You can watch Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime while you work out, but once your free trial is up, you’ll need to pay for a subscription, even if all you want to do is watch Netflix – it doesn’t work without a paid subscription to JRNY.

The T10’s maximum speed is 12 mph, and the motorized incline ranges from -5% to 15%. It comes with a 10’’ touchscreen and a Bluetooth-enabled heart rate armband to monitor your heart rate continuously. However, everything outside of basic workouts and functions requires a WiFi connection.

The touchscreen interface is intuitive and easy to use, even if you’ve never used a treadmill before. There are 20 levels of resistance, and the treadmill also includes handlebar grips for high incline workouts, which can engage both your lower and upper body and give you a full-body workout. The T10 is a good treadmill with Netflix that would be even better if it didn’t depend so heavily on WiFi.

5 Benefits of Treadmills with TV Screen

TV screens are all around us, but they are typically tied to a couch. Since spending too much time in a seated position is not that healthy, it only makes sense to stick one of them on a treadmill to make your workout experience more enjoyable and entertaining.

Treadmills are a great way to stay active and healthy – they have a lot of cardiovascular benefits, and the exercises they provide are good for your mental health. Whether it’s running, jogging, or just taking a walk – you’ll get a bunch of benefits from it.

Warm-up on treadmill

However, running on a treadmill can get tedious, especially if you’re using it at home, because there’s not that much to do other than run and stare at a wall or outside your window. This is why a TV can be useful – you can watch your favorite shows, or follow workouts led by professional trainers and the time will go by a lot faster.

Better Motivation

Entertainment can help you stay motivated because it will pull your focus away from physical exertion and make the exercise less monotonous. TV will also help make the exercise more enjoyable. This type of distraction can significantly increase the chances of sticking to your fitness schedule and keeping your workout routine consistent. It will help keep the healthy habit of doing physical activities in your daily life more easily.

Working Out for Longer Periods of Time

With the entertainment being right there on the treadmill, people tend to work out longer than they would without it. Think about it – if you’re focused on your favorite TV show, it’s easy to forget about time and you can end up working out longer than you intended to, which can end up burning more calories and improving endurance. Moreover, since walking/jogging/running raises your heart rate, you’re bound to get boosted circulation, which, in turn, will reduce your blood pressure. It’s a win-win!

Mental Relaxation

Watching TV relieves stress, and if you’re watching it while you work out, you get a great opportunity to unwind and decompress while being physically active.

Time Efficiency

Combining physical activity with entertainment is very time efficient. You can catch up on your favorite shows while working out, which means you don’t have to find separate time slots to fit the two into your schedule.

Better Brain Health/Mood

Physical activity, in general, can boost your cognitive function and overall mood – and the same applies to running on a treadmill. On the other hand, watching your favorite tv show, or some educational/motivational/interesting material will also likely elevate your mood even further. Thus, by combining these two, you have a surefire way to stay more motivated during the workout and reap the benefits afterward.

6 Things to Consider When Choosing a Treadmill with a TV Screen

There are a few features beyond those basic treadmill ones that you should consider if you want to buy a treadmill with a TV screen – from screen size to interactivity and overall functionality.

Here’s a breakdown of the most important factors.

Running on treadmill before training

1. Screen Size

A no-brainer, really. If your treadmill has a TV screen, then you need to check it’s big enough so you can see everything comfortably. Treadmills with large screens are more enjoyable, and many treadmills come with wonderful 20’’ or 22’’ screens, which make working out a very immersive experience.

2. Interactivity

Some treadmill screens provide interactive features, like access to live workouts, virtual courses, or personalized training sessions.

woman training on tradmill

3. Sound/Speakers

Quality sound is very important, because even if the screen is perfect, a subpar sound system will ruin the experience for you. Check the quality of the speakers integrated into the treadmill to make sure you’re getting clear audio.

4. Compatibility

Check what entertainment platforms and streaming services the treadmill is compatible with and make sure it supports the sources you’re interested in.

5. Functionality

A TV screen brings great entertainment value, but don’t forget that you’re still buying a treadmill that needs to meet your fitness needs. Check the speed range, incline, and decline, to make sure you’re getting a treadmill that can give you the level of intensity you want.

exercising on treadmill

6. Price/Quality

Some treadmills are just plain overpriced and don’t give you great value for money. The price needs to be reasonable, and you shouldn’t get into debt to buy a treadmill. Choose a treadmill that has a good price relative to its features, durability, and overall quality.

FAQ

Can You Watch TV on a Treadmill Screen?

Yes, some of them can stream TV shows, movies, or other content, and allow you to watch your favorite TV programs and movies during workouts. However, not all treadmills have this feature, so check the model you’re interested in to see if it’s designed with a TV screen or streaming capabilities.

Is a Smart Treadmill Worth It?

It depends on the person – it can be a good investment for someone who likes streaming workouts, virtual training sessions, and fitness tracking options. These features can improve your motivation and engagement, but they’re not an absolute necessity for everyone.

Can I Use My Phone While on the Treadmill?

Yes, you can. Most treadmills allow you to use your phone for various purposes, like listening to music, watching videos, or accessing fitness apps. Some smart treadmills even have Bluetooth connectivity so you can sync your phone directly to the treadmill.

Which Treadmills Work With Netflix?

Certain higher-end treadmills that have Internet connectivity and large touchscreen displays may offer built-in apps, like Netflix, but compatibility may vary. Models from brands like NordicTrack and Bowflex may give you access to streaming services, but you may need to pay for a subscription to be able to do that.

Conclusion

If you’re in the market for a treadmill that has an integrated screen, you now know which ones are the most innovative and interactive. If you want the best treadmill with a screen for streaming, go for the NORDICTRACK Commercial 1750 – it won’t leave you disappointed.
