As a beginner, you’re able to make progress much quicker compared to more advanced athletes. Changing volume, load, and/ or time under tension can all be great ways to progress successfully without using blood flow restriction bands.

2. Intermediate
Intermediate exercises are the group that will get the most benefit from using blood flow restriction bands. At this point, you understand the basics of lifting, how to perform exercises correctly, and you’ve most likely built a solid foundation to work from.
You’ve experimented with the principles of training and seen progress when varying them. Now it’s the time to add something new to your program or use something to complement your training. This is where blood flow restriction training comes in.
