Rahmat Erwin Abdullah Won the Gold Medal in the 73 kg Men’s Event at the 2024 IWF Asian Championships

Indonesia has been having an incredible Asian Championship this year, and in the absence of team China, it has managed to snatch 12 medals in total so far. Two of them came during the men’s 73 kg event, where Rizki Juniansyah won bronze, and Rahmat Erwin Abdullah came away with the ultimate prize – the gold medal.

Abdullah showed up ready to take the top spot and managed to not only win the total Gold medal but also win it for the two individual lifts.

He got 159 kg on the snatch (one kg more than the second-placed Rizki Juniansyah) and 204 on the Clean & Jerk (almost 10 kg more than the lifter at second place), all came up to a total of 363 kg – 10 kg more than the silver medalist, which just shows Abdullah’s dominance during this competition.
