Lisa Marie Schweizer won Bronze (Total) in the Women’s 71 kg Category (2024 European Weightlifting Championships)

Day 5 of the European Championships was as thrilling as expected, with the women’s 71 kg unfolding and many unexpected athletes showcasing incredible performances and getting podium spots.

One of them was Lisa Marie Schweizer from Germany, who showed fantastic results and was able to get the last podium spot and a silver in Snatch, and a bronze Total medal for her country.

The German lifter started incredibly well, successfully completing all three of her first lifts on the Snatch and ending with a 107 kg and the silver medal for the movement.

On the Clean & Jerk, she didn’t perform as well, only getting 124 kg and finishing in sixth place, but her total of 231 kg (just one kg more than fourth-placed Eyglo Fanndal Sturludottir) was enough for her to win the bronze medal for overall 3d place in the category.
