WWC In Riyadh 2023: Day 1 – Women’s 45kg Results

The first day of the WWC 2023 in Riyadh was memorable for us due to the awards and top places among female lifters from Category 45 kg of Group A.

Here we have the following scenario: all Top-3 athletes won absolute gold, silver, and bronze accordingly. The leader in this contest was Sirivimon Pramongkhol from Thailand who got all three gold medals in Snatch of 78 kg, C&J of 101 kg, and 179 kg total.

The second place and silver moved to a lifter from Madagascar, Rosina Randafiarison, who performed her total of 170 kg, 77 kg in Snatch, and 93 kg in Clean and Jerk.

Bronze was taken by a well-known Cansu Bektaş from Turkey. Let’s remember: she has already competed at the European Weightlifting Championships in Yerevan by setting three European junior records by getting 3 gold medals. This time, unfortunately, she took only the third place with a total of 162 kg, 75 kg in Snatch, and 87 kg – C&J. She managed to improve her results in Snatch by 3 kg, while there was a difference of 3 kg between the current C&J and the prior one.
