The Paris Olympic Games are just around the corner, and the final shot for athletes to qualify is at the IWF World Cup in Thailand, which has just started.

As per usual, the competition began with the lightweight women’s categories, but the 49 kg division didn’t disappoint as we saw many fantastic lifts from the women in the field.

Her total of 217 was enough to win her the silver medal for the category, and she managed to lift 9 kg more than her third-place compatriot, Jiang Huihua.

Hou Zhiuhui has had an incredible career so far – she’s an Olympic Champion, a World Champion and a two-time Asian Champion in the 49 kg category.  However, she’s still hungry for results, and that can be seen from the fact that she managed to beat her previous total best by 4 kg – from 213 kg to 217 kg.
