Emily Campbell Finding Her Best Form Before the 2024 European Championship
Between February 12th and 20th, Sofia, Bulgaria, will be the host of the 2024 European Championship, one of the biggest competitions we will see prior to the Olympics. Of course, with such an important event coming up in less than two months, the big names in the world of weightlifting have started to gear up their training process in an attempt to get in the best possible shape and fight for medals in Sofia.
One of the lifters doing precisely that and showing us on her Instagram page is Britain’s Emily Campbell. In a video shared to her profile yesterday, we can see Emily performing split jerk doubles with an impressive 150 kg on the barbell and a pretty sound technique.
With a title defense in her sight, Emily is hoping to get her fourth gold medal at the Europeans and hopefully enter the Olympic season in top form in order to be able to win the coveted gold medal in Paris finally.
A quick reminder to everyone: Emily Campbell competes in the +87 kg category, and she’s Britain’s most decorated weightlifter as a three-time European champion and an Olympic silver medalist. With such incredible performances during the past few years, Emily’s number one goal for 2024 is to become the Olympic champion, and it looks like she’s gearing up for amazing performances this year.
